Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with a variety of special needs, including physical, emotional, and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

– Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the specific needs of each student

– Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to engage and support students with diverse learning styles

– Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible learning outcomes for students

– Monitor and track student progress, and make necessary adjustments to instructional plans as needed

– Provide support and accommodations during assessments and standardized testing

– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs

– Attend and participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology or a related field

– Valid state teaching certification in Special Education

– Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting

– Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

– Strong communication and collaboration skills

– Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
