- Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop, evaluate, and implement chemical processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Utilize process simulation tools to troubleshoot and optimize production workflows.
- Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste, and production costs.
- Management of Change (MOC):
- Oversee and ensure compliance with the MOC system for all process modifications.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard reviews for proposed changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of changes.
- ISO Compliance:
- Maintain and enhance processes to meet ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001(Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
- Participate in audits and drive continuous improvement in compliance with ISO systems.
- Project Management:
- Plan, lead, and execute engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Foster a safety-first culture and promote adherence to company safety policies.
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
- Lead training initiatives on MOC systems, ISO compliance, and process optimization.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor production metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Generate detailed reports for stakeholders, summarizing findings, recommendations, and results.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years in chemical manufacturing or process engineering roles.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale engineering projects and leading process changes.
- Familiarity with Management of Change (MOC) systems and ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong understanding of chemical plant operations, unit processes, and thermodynamics.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Project management experience, SCEM and/or Water Efficiency Manager certified is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
