Position: Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor
Salary: $2100 – $2600 (Basic) + Meal Allowance $125 + OT + Incentives + VB
Working Hours: 6 days per week, 44hrs, 1 day off
Location: Singapore
Responsibilities
- Direct and guide Room Attendants to ensure that all guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and hotel floor corridors are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and tidiness for the safety and comfort of all guests.
- Act as an advocate on safe work practices in the workplace by ensuring that housekeeping employees follow established safety regulations when using work equipment and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, guidelines, work processes and standard operating procedures by providing guidance to junior staff and new hires to ensure adherence to the requirements.
- Organize, prioritize, and delegate work assignments, thereby ensuring efficient turnover of guest rooms.
- Conduct daily briefings with employees and maintain effective communication within the department.
- Ensure that all lost and found items are handed to the Housekeeper immediately according to SOP.
- Ensure that all floor pantries are equipped with adequate supplies.
- Upkeep the motivation levels of the housekeeping employees to maintain a cohesive team.
- Conduct twice daily inspection of Room Attendant equipment and cleaning machinery to ensure proper working condition.
- Conduct room checks on the rooms cleaned by the Room Attendants using the room inspection checklist.
- Inspect each room of the assigned area, whether vacant, occupied, check-out or out of order as well as the corridors, service areas and storeroom using the standard Supervisor checklist.
- Report maintenance issues within assigned area to the Housekeeper.
Requirements
- O-Level or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Hotel Housekeeping.
- Proactive, meticulous and able to perform strenuous activities and handle heavy load.
- Singaporean only.
