Senior Solution Architect (Permanent, Banking)

  • Conceptualize and design technical solution architecture aligned with project requirements and IT strategies.
  • Evaluate and select vendors, products, and technologies for solution proposals.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, system SMEs, and product vendors to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guidelines while meeting project objectives.
  • Bridge communication and coordination between enterprise architects and technical delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the proposed solution architecture.
  • Communicate and drive the solution architecture process to obtain stakeholder approval.
  • Present and secure buy-in for technical solutions from IT management and the enterprise technology/architecture board.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial industry.
  • At least7 years in solution architecture roles with familiarity in system and project implementation lifecycles within a banking environment.
  • Expertise in designing scalable, resilient technical architectures, including end-to-end integration across channels, systems, middleware, and data warehouses.
  • Experience in integrating commercial off-the-shelf products and cloud solutions is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture, and cloud computing services. Knowledge of system and network infrastructure is an advantage.
  • Broad knowledge of banking technologies and systems, including industry developments and trends.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and programming in Java or .NET.
  • Possess functional and operational knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Payments, Cash Management (preferred), Customer Touchpoints (Internet/mobile), Customer Onboarding & AML, Digital Workflow, or Data Warehouse & Analytics.
  • Relevant certifications in TOGAF, cloud solution architecture, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
